It has been finally getting warmer in New York this week, and it seems everyone has springtime on their mind. I thought I would share this photograph of seagulls huddling together on the snowy Coney Island Beach after the last snowstorm, all facing the blowing wind together in anticipation of spring.

I finally got my precious MacBook Pro back from Apple after it gave me the much-feared “black screen of death” on startup. Thankfully, the problem was not the hard drive, but the graphics card, as I had anticipated. I’ve got to give Apple props because this notebook is 3 years old, and out of warranty. However, they have previously acknowledged an issue with faulty NVIDIA GeForce 8600 graphics card which is exactly what failed in my case, and replaced it free of charge. Thanks Apple!
